DID YOU KNOW…
Our distinguishing
mark is a
Peteiro piece

Mieles Anta has always maintained a friendly relationship with the artist Jorge Peteiro, a relationship that began when the painter, who had a keen interest in beekeeping, helped David Corral, founder of Mieles Anta.
The fact is that Jorge Peteiro’s father had already collaborated with David Corral, helping in the construction of his beehives in the carpentry facilities of Maderas Peteiro.
Since then, they have fostered a long-lasting friendship of collaboration.
Jorge became one of the distinguishing marks of the brand, painting the labels of ‘Mel da Anta’ and ‘Pazo de Lusío’ with his recognisable and distinct painting style.

Over 90% of
our beehives are organic

90% of Mieles Anta’s hives meet the requirements of organic beekeeping, as they are located in a remote area at least 3 km from the nearest road or village.
DID YOU KNOW…
Our beehives receive unexpected visitors

Our apiaries often receive visits from bears, proof of the great biodiversity of the area and that our beehives are located in unique places.
Our unexpected visitors are brown bears that live in the Courel mountains, and thanks to their habitat’s conditions, they are repopulating this area between Galicia and Asturias.
Despite the damage they may cause, we at Mieles Anta are delighted to be able to share our enclaves with them.
