Forest Honey

Bees produce this honey from the exudation from trees such as oak, holm oak and cork oak trees and not just from flower nectar. Because of these characteristics, natural forest honey is a dark amber colour and has a stronger, less sweet taste than other honeys. It can be defined as a dark, dense and strong tasting honey, with a high fructose content that makes it have a low tendency to crystallise. It provides many vitamins and minerals.

Our apiaries are located in the mountains of Galicia at elevations starting at 600 m above sea level, mainly in the Ancares and Caurel nature reserves.

Pollen mostly from Castanea sativa, Eucalyptus sp., Ericaceae sp., Rubus sp., Rosaceae and Cytisus sp-Ulex sp.
