Philosophy

The pillars of our company are training and our family nature.

Since we created Mieles de Anta we have been always keeping our training and knowledge up to the latest technologies and tendencies in the beekeeping world.

Every year we visit several apiaries and fairs all over the world to study the latest techniques so we can apply them to our products.

Mieles Anta is committed to the union and to its Galician roots and ever since the very beginning, Mieles Anta is a member ofof the Galician Association of Apiculture.

David Corral

David

Since his childhood, our founder David Corral has been related to the beekeeping world. In 1975, when he owned the bar Pombo, he already traded honey from his own harvest in Samos (Lugo) which was very popular in the region.

In 1984, David decided to go ahead and launch his own honey label, although before this he visited the most important bee-keeping companies of Spain in order to learn everything related to the business.

In 1985, a year later, he started his professional activity running over 1,000 Layens hives.

Team

Team

At Mieles Anta, we can boast of being a great family and of being y we can also boast of how well we understand of the importance of teamwork―all our honey is gathered by Mieles Anta employees and in doing so we take part throughout all the honey preparation processes.

A work of art inside and outside

Peteiro big

Mieles Anta has a close friendship with the artist Jorge Peteiro. This relationship started when Jorge Peteiro helped David Corral, our founder, as a beekeeper, as the artist was really interested in bees and everything related to them.

In fact, Jorge Peteiro's dad had already collaborated with David Corral, supporting the construction of his hives in the carpentry Maderas Peteiro.

Since then, they have created a friendship and a collaboration that will last forever.

Jorge became an integral part of the brand identity of our company, being the artist behind the labelling of “Mel da Anta”, on which two beekeepers in their suits can be seen: one is Jorge Peteiro himself and the other one David Corral, founder of our company. He also designed the label for “Pazo de Lusío” on his recognisable noticeable style.
